Inflatable Castles: How to Have Fun Safely

You know what gives us the greatest pleasure at AmusementLOL? It’s seeing children’s eyes light up when they see our bouncy castle arriving in their backyard. Those moments of pure happiness, the laughter that resonates, the memories that are created… that’s exactly why we’re in this business.

But behind every child’s smile lies a responsibility we take very seriously: their safety. Because a successful party is above all one where everyone goes home with happy memories and no scratches.

Before it starts: Preparing the ground

Someone always has to keep an eye

Look, we’re not going to lie: when kids get excited, they can sometimes forget the rules. It’s normal, they’re having fun! But that’s why it’s absolutely essential that an adult (not a 16-year-old, but an adult aged 18 or over) stays close to the castle to keep an eye on things.

This person is like a security guard. He or she makes sure that everything runs smoothly, gently reminds people of the rules when necessary, and can intervene if things get a little out of hand.

Cleaning up around you

Before setting up the castle, take a look around your property. Pick up any branches, rocks, toys lying around… anything that could hurt if someone fell on it. And if your terrain looks like a rollercoaster, find a flatter spot – the castle will be more stable and the children safer.

Checking that everything’s holding together

Once our team has installed the castle, take a look at the bindings from time to time. Although we always do a good job, a gust of wind can sometimes loosen the straps. Better safe than sorry, as they say!

While it’s hot: The rules of the game

Barefoot is safer

We know, we know… some children never want to take off their shoes. But explain to them that it’s just like at the pool: barefoot is safer for everyone. And while you’re at it, remove jewelry, glasses and anything else that might catch or hurt.

Not too many people at once

Every castle has its limits, and it’s important to respect them. Too many children at the same time means more chances of them bumping into each other. You’re always given a maximum number – stick to it, even if it means some have to wait their turn.

Little ones with little ones, big ones with big ones

Imagine a 4-year-old jumping up and down with a 14-year-old… do you see the problem? If you have children of very different ages, have them take turns. Everyone will have more fun that way.

Keep it simple

Stunts, pirouettes, “who jumps the highest” contests… save that for the movies! In the castle, we jump, we bounce, we laugh, but we behave. And above all, keep your head, arms and legs inside!

If things go wrong: Don’t panic

If the castle deflates

It happens very rarely, but if ever the castle starts to deflate (power failure, fan problem…), don’t panic! These structures deflate slowly. Just calmly ask the kids to get out and everything will be fine.

If the weather turns sour

As soon as the wind picks up a little too much or it starts to rain seriously, we stop everything. We unplug the fan and wait it out. I know, the kids will complain, but their safety is worth all the whims in the world.

Our promise at AmusementLOL

We’ve been renting bouncy castles in the area for years, and we’re proud of it. Every bouncy castle we deliver has been checked, cleaned and tested. Because your peace of mind is just as important as your children’s fun.

Safety isn’t just a list of boring rules – it’s what allows everyone to have a great day without worrying about a thing.
